Applesauce

Ingredients:

3 large organic Fuji apples, cored, seeded and cubed with skin (you can use various types depending on what you like-I buy mine from Costco)

1 tsp – 1Tbsp Cinnamon (I love ceylon cinnamon)

Directions:

In large saucepan, add apples.  Spread evenly in pan.  Then add filtered water to pan until it reaches about halfway the height of the apples. Add desired amount of cinnamon. I usually add about 1 tsp – 1 Tbsp depending how big the apples are.  Simmer uncovered for about 1 hour and 15 minutes until super tender.  The longer it cooks, the sweeter it becomes:)  Then, you can mash with a fork or transfer to a blender.  I usually just mash it with a fork as I like it a little lumpy-ish.

This tastes great hot or cold.  You can add sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds when serving to add a little crunch.  Enjoy this perfect Fall/Winter treat that everyone will love!
