Wow, I can’t believe that today is already Day 14 of my 14-Day Live training portion to earn my Master Practitioner of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and Master Hypnotist.
It’s been an amazing journey and I learned so much about myself and what I’m capable of…especially in going out of my comfort zone.
You see, I’m really an introvert and a bit on the shy side. I get nervous when trying new things and even recording myself on video (which I still have to psyche myself up every time!).
During these past 2 weeks, I definitely stretched myself, but in a good way:
· I learned so much about myself, my personality type (the good and the not-as-good!) and how I best respond in situations and how to recognize others’ personality types to best communicate with them. · I learned the power of planning ahead and prepping my healthy lunches and dinners ahead of time. While I’ve always done this for other classes and travel, I’ve never had to do this for a 2-week stretch. And so grateful as it helped me feel so energized and able to focus every day!
I’m sad today is the last day as I would love to continue to practice and learn with my amazing group. However, I do admit that I’m definitely a bit tired and look forward to the weekend to decompress.
Mostly, I am so happy and proud of myself that I really went out of my comfort zone to do all of these things and so much more. As a result, I have learned incredibly valuable tools to help others, I have met amazing people and instructors in my class and I have grown so much.
I invite you to go out of your comfort zone. It’s so easy to stay where you are and do the same things every day.
But when you go out of your comfort zones, that is the time you grow and see what you are truly capable of. And you ARE capable of so much more than you would ever think!
So, whether it’s taking a class for you, or maybe finally taking action towards that side hustle that’s been on the back burner or going to a new gym or pilates or anything you don’t normally do. Think to yourself, “What’s the worst thing that can happen?”
Or more importantly, think to yourself, “What’s the best thing that can happen?”
Here’s to getting comfortable being uncomfortable.
