6 Top Signs That You May Be Toxic

Do you ever get headaches, swelling or regular fatigue? 

 

While most people tend to view these as ailments and treat them individually, often times, these are actually symptoms of an underlying issue.

 

Toxicity is more common than ever with the processed foods we eat and chemicals we use and that are in our environment.

 

To follow are common symptoms of toxicity:

 

  1. Inflammation.

Swelling is the body’s way of fighting off injury.

If you cut yourself or bang into something, the body inflames to surround and protect the area with its own healing properties.

However, if some areas such as joints, are constantly inflamed, it may mean your body is weakened by constant toxicity and struggling to fight it off.

Natural anti-inflammatory spices such as Turmeric and Cumin can be extremely beneficial, but try to avoid the toxins that may be the cause in the first place such as processed foods and sugar.

 

  1. Constipation.

If you are irregular or don’t move your bowels at least once a day, that waste is being stored somewhere in your body.

Eating fruits and vegetables with plenty of water will help get things moving and remove the toxic waste.

 

  1. Acne.

This may be caused by hormone imbalance due to toxicity.  The body is trying to remove the non-organic elements through the skin.

Proper hydration as well as eating a diet rich in vegetables and fruit and removing processed foods will aid in removing these toxins.

 

  1. Sweat (constantly).

The skin is very porous and is the first line of detoxification. 

Sweat is meant to remove heat from the core and cool off the skin.

However, if it is trying to remove toxins, it is on overdrive.  The skin therefore sweats much more without any aerobic activity to remove its waste.

Try to increase water intake to aid in the flushing process and avoid processed food which only adds to the toxic levels in the body.

 

  1. Belly Fat.

The liver is a detoxification organ but it also burns fat.  When the liver is overworked, it is not able to do its job well enough and will therefore deposit fat but still perform its most vital function which is detoxifying the bloodstream.

Think of your belly fat as the fat that your liver couldn’t burn as it has been overworked on the detox end.

Milk thistle can be great liver support but don’t make it overwork in the first place by feeding your body pure, wholesome, one ingredient foods.

 

  1. Headaches.

Constant unexplained headaches can be sign that the body has toxins that are affecting the brain and causing swelling.

Headache is often a symptom of toxic food, environment or some other ailment altogether.

Try to avoid processed foods, especially wheat as these can be common triggers.

 

Always keep in mind that our bodies are brilliant.  It will always do what it has to do to protect itself and try to put it back into balance.

 

However, the more stresses we put on our bodies makes it more difficult for it to do its job.  Listen to what your body is saying.
