I love coconut oil. It’s the fat that can make you thin as well as energize you. Yes, this saturated fat makes you thin. As an MCTFA (Medium Chain Fatty Acid), it’s very easy for your body to digest as it doesn’t need to be broken down like other fats. This way, it is immediately absorbed and sent to the liver providing you with instant energy.
The benefits lay in its high percentage of medium chain triglycerides (MCTs). That’s a mouthful, but it translates to the stuff that boosts your metabolism, supports your thyroid, and helps you lose weight. Studies are even showing coconut oil may aid in staving off of Alzheimer’s disease. I enjoy the taste, too!
Personally, I cook with it daily and even add it to my tea as a way to get more into my body. I even oil pull with it that helps pull bacteria out of my mouth (see This Worked Better Than I Thought). I don’t just eat coconut oil, though, I also use it as a moisturizer on my face and hands. Its uses don’t end there. Check out the many uses of coconut oil.
Rubbed on lips as a natural chap stick Be sure to use only unrefined organic extra virgin coconut oil and strive to eat 2-4 Tablespoons a day so you can reap all of the the benefits of this super oil. I buy my 1.5 L tub at Costco.
