How Hormones Affect Your Weight in the New Year

We’re nearing the finish line to 2021.

And it’s been quite a year for so many of us and I know I want to start out fresh in 2022.

What about you?

For me, it was a great year of being together with my family. We even increased our tribe with our grandpup, Widley (a combo Bichon frise and poodle) who continues to bring us so much joy every day.

Mike and I also celebrated 30 wonderful years together by renewing our vows together with our girls, Rachel and Jennifer, in magnificent Arches in Moab, UT.

Then, all four of us ended out the year one-by-one with getting “the virus.” No surprise as it almost seems like a rite of passage these days.

While I always try to look at the positive side of things and do “walk the walk” with what I choose to put in my body and mind, I do recognize that stress has seemed to creep in more than I would like to admit.

I’m seeing it in my thinning hair and eyebrows:(. A signature of hormonal imbalance.

Yep, gotta admit I let the emotional stress take over more than I would like. And my middle is reflecting that stress as well.

For us women, it certainly can be tricky.

We go through so many hormonal changes (as if once a month weren’t enough!). And then when we’re done with our child-bearing years, things change some more and we get to experience new and exciting symptoms.

It may look like fatigue or difficulty sleeping, skin issues, resistant weight gain, thinning hair and nails, brain fog, night sweats and more.

We’re all different so it looks a little different for each of us.

All these symptoms of hormonal imbalance come from stressors.

Now, we typically associate stress as being more emotional stress. But there are lots of other stressors out there that affect our bodies and how our hormones work.

Stressors certainly can be emotional, which I have certainly experienced more of this year. However, it can also come from chemicals in our food, chemicals in our water, in the make-up we wear and the shampoo we use, and even in the plastics we use along with our clothing and furniture, etc.

We are assaulted every day by these stressors which have a direct impact on how our bodies operate.  Yes, more than we would ever realize.

I wanted to take a deeper dive into the stressors and then how they impact our hormones. But I found it was a longer conversation than I could provide here.

I also wanted to provide an opportunity to answer questions in a group setting about hormones as it is such a big topic and so many of us have questions.

So I decided to create a workshop on How Hormones Affect Weight (and lots of other “symptoms.”). Weight seems to be the most common issue but there are others. And the good news is that there are many drug-free solutions.

I want to invite you to bring in 2022 with education. I always say that knowledge is power and understanding what is going on in our brilliant bodies will help us see more clearly how to get to where we want to be and feel.

Please join me this Tuesday, January 4th at 12:00 noon EST for this free 60-minute Workshop to understand how hormones affect your weight and how to take back control. In this free 60-minute workshop, you will discover:

  • What are hormones and why getting them in balance can help you get to the weight you want with more energy
  • The differences between specific hormones in your body and the functions of each to keep you feeling your best
  • Symptoms and causes of estrogen dominance and what you can do to get it back in check
  • How to balance hormones through a simple detoxification plan without drugs or medication

I’m going all out by giving you a workbook to help follow along. And I’m even throwing in a present for your “presence” if you stick around to the end of the Workshop.

If you can’t make it live, sign up anyway so you can watch the replay. And, yes, you will still get the free bonus gift:).

So, please share with friends and family and I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.

In the meantime, have a safe and happy New Year with lots and lots of good health for us all!
