Start Your New Year with Words of Wisdom

Happy New Year!  It’s time for that new beginning and to start it off the best you can–by giving thanks for ALL that you have.

Especially in these times we are in, it’s really now more important than ever to take a moment to reflect on why we should be giving thanks.

Consider what type of person you are?

Do bad things always seem to happen to you or do you sometimes come across challenges that you just need to deal with?

Do you feel sorry for yourself or are you grateful for the things you have?

While we may not be able to control what happens in our lives, we certainly can control how we deal with them.  Our attitudes then affect outcomes and those around us.

Louise L. Hay is a New York Times Best Selling author who overcame her own struggles with abuse as a child, in her marriage and then cancer, using the power of her thoughts.

She has empowered millions by her inspirational words that help us affirm the positive in life. She points out that happiness and strength come from within and the mind can make miracles happen.

“Every thought we think is creating our future.”

“Your mind is a tool you can choose to use any way you wish.”

“You are not a helpless victim of your own thoughts, but rather a master of your own mind.”

“No matter what the problem is, our experiences are just outer effects of inner thoughts.”

“Make joy and happiness the center of your world.”

“The more grateful you are, the more you get to be grateful about. It’s that simple.”

“Think thoughts that make you feel good, make choices that make you feel good, and take actions that make you feel good.”

“I say “Out” to every negative thought that comes to my mind. No person, place, or thing has any power over me, for I am the only thinker in my mind. I create my own reality and everyone in it.”

“I will not be distracted by noise, chatter, or setbacks. Patience, commitment, grace, and purpose will guide me.”

“You’ve been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.”

~Louise L. Hay

Of course, my favorite Louise L. Hay quote that resonates below in every one of my newsletters:

“It is our choices that show what we truly are far more than our abilities”

As you go to bed tonight and think about what you want in your life for 2022, I challenge you to give thanks and more thanks. Think about all you have to be grateful for and the people who you love AND love you.  Do this with a smile on your face.

It takes all of a minute but is so powerful to put you in the perfect state of calm before drifting off to sleep.  This is what I do every night:)

Love, health and happy new year!
